So basically you are saying to try and get links for many different pages in your site, not just the homepage.

For example on my site, I'd try and get some links to:
http://www.ihatemymessageboard.com

then a some to all the various blog posts.

Then some to the forums and subforums and individual threads?

Does it help me when I refer back to other pages in my site in my blog posts or on forum threads? I always try to link whenever possible so that my readers can see what I'm talking about.
