Which Type Of Twitter User Are You?

Twitter is an awesome example of how a basic idea can be evolved into something huge. Started as the way to tell the world "What you are doing", it now has hundreds of various uses.
This is how social media works: you start a social media project and people will make it into what it should be. There is no way to control that.
Various people have different opinions on how Twitter should be used. To my mind, it is up to everyone. I am not a big fan of Twitter ethics: if you don’t like someone, just don’t follow him!
That being said, everyone has the right to use Twitter the way he wants. Would you like to know which group of Twitter users you fall into?
Here’s a quiz I made (with Gerald’s help of course) that will help you define your Twitter user type.
You are highly encouraged to share your result in the comments. You can also Tweet your result, embed it to your blog or share on facebook. Good luck!

The funny thing is that I don’t think my children would think of me as a Bad Ass:P
I am visually challenged. I began to type a comment here & discovered I could not go back & correct typos. All that I could do was use backspace. That meant that my attempt to correct a typo in the 1st sentence resulted in me either having to struggle to type the whole comment out yet again which is not an easy thing for me to do or click out. Instead I decided to send you this comment in the hope that you will consider replacing this comment system because I hate this one. Adding insult to injury when I tried to copy my comment I git a nasty pop-up telling me not to. This is not way to treat anyone who is a regular reader and who finally got up enough courage to leave a comment.

I’m sorry that created a problem for you leaving your comment. This is a new plugin that I have installed that is aimed at preventing people from stealing content. It’s not really meant to affect the comment system but now I know that it does.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Update: I went ahead and got rid of this plugin today. I’ve determined it to be an annoyance to my readers.
Thanks again for your input.
Thank you so much for getting rid of the plugin. If only I had been allowed to copy my comment errors and all into a text editor, correct the mistakes and then post it all would have been fine. Even if an edit function had been available that would have been fine. But I was so frustrated and having that pop-up imply I was a content thief stealing my own comment really peeved me off.
Apparently, I am a purist. However, there were questions I could not give an accurate answer to because I don’t use twitter to socialize at all. IMO twitter as a social conversation platform SUCKS so I don’t use it for that purpose.
Do you retweet often? My answer is yes I retweet those tweets from followers containing links to posts I have read and that do that reflect our common interests. I had to choose “only if there is a link” but there are tweets with links that I do not retweet.
Do you like replying to people in public? I had to choose “Only when I am asked a direct questions”. I usually answer questions by email, and the reason I use email is because I can’t provide meaningful answers to most questions in what amounts to 140 character sound bites.
Why would you unfollow a Twitter user? I chose “if he never retweets my tweets”. Truth be told I have unfollowed people for all of the reasons listed there and others as well. Anyone who has a bot army I delete as a follower. Anyone who gets paid to tweet or who tries to recommend a bot army follower program to me I immediately block. When I get a new follower who has thousands of followers I check them out and I check out their blogs very closely. If they are obsessed with money making, do-follow commenting, have keywordluv installed, are caught up in link buying and selling schemes, and publish posts lecturing their readers about how to use twitter to create “meaningful relationships”, then I SNORT, and choose either not follow them or to block them.
How much do you tweet? I couldn’t be sure what was meant here. Does tweet also include retweeting? I retweet more that I tweet. I don’t tweet unless I have published a post and want to share a link to it, or I am retweeting a link to another blogger’s post that I have read and feel has value, whether or not I disagree or agree with the POV expressed in the post.
Do you like helping people on twitter? I chose “what do you mean?” and laughed manically. I don’t help people on twitter. I help them by email or on my blog or in the wordpress.com forums because I cannot help them in a succession of 140 character “blurts”.
Do you ever have Twitter conversations? Ha! Ha! Ha! See my other comments ^. I don’t believe meaningful conversations can be transmitted in 140 characters. My time is to valuable to expend on pseudo comedic exchanges & quips so I don’t add to the noise.
What’s you favorite twitter application? I don’t have one. I clicked hootsuite because there was no “none” choice I could make.
Yeah!!! I am also a Twitter Bad Ass!

You must have done a good job designing this test because Kristi and I have much in common – including the results. We’re both B.F.F.s.
Is there an obvious way to Tweet the results that I am missing? Since I couldn’t find it I dropped the results into a Twitter Type post. (That post didn’t show up in CommentLuv yet.)

I don’t think there was the option to tweet the results. Only retweet the post from the tweet meme button or tweet it manually with your own notes.
Very good point that. It would be cool to have a simple way to tweet the results. I’ll mention that to Ann.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
This was a really cool idea Ann! I’m a ‘cheerleader’ … not too bad I guess – I’m genuine!
Although, I have to point out that I had to put in bogus answers for a few. There weren’t options that matched me. I don’t use any of the services listed on one of them – I use CoTweet, which wasn’t listed. The retweet thing didn’t have one to match me. Those are the only two I remember not having an appropriate answer for, though.
